Version 2.0

I decided the 4 player panel was too big. So I replaced the panel with a new 2 player panel. This panel includes 2 joysticks for each player. One stick is a 12 way rotary stick. The second is a 4/8 way switchable stick. Now I can play 2 stick games (Smash TV, Karate Champ), rotary stick games (Ikari Warriors, Heavy Barrel) and games with 4-way sticks. I also added a trackball. The other big improvement was the addition of a switch on the side of the panel to enable admin keys. The last thing I did was replace the TV with a 21" monitor and speakers and replace the bezel.

Bar-Fly Bartop Arcade

I had a lot of stuff around; old computer, 14" monitor, lexan, and assorted pieces of wood. So with my much improved carpentry skills and tools. I decided to try building a bartop machine on a budget. I spent an additional $130 and came up with the Bar-Fly Bartop Arcade. It really only plays older games. The machine is an AMD 1Ghz, with 384 RAM, 8G HDD, and Win 2K Pro. I installed Atomic FE, and an older version of MAME, but I haven't really got all the software configured yet.
